EY- Assurance – Staff – AMS

As part of our EY-Assurance Team, the role requires the incumbent to proactively develop relationships with the global EY teams serving these engagements and supervise the delivery of GDS engagement management support activities.

The opportunity

We’re looking for candidates with experience in General Management who can effectively work within GDS framework and assist the different Assurance teams within tight deadlines.

Your key responsibilities

• Assist engagement teams with various processes, such as multi-location coordination, engagement economics, confirmations, project and database management
• Maintain and update global engagement team databases and contact lists as appropriate
• Collate relevant client information from publicly available databases and communicate it to the team via firm publication and databases
• Assuming responsibility for all work and ensuring that the work is reviewed thoroughly before the output is sent out as per the deadline
• Accurately identifying problems, exceptions and ensuring that the regional engagement team has been informed about them in a timely manner
• Work proactively and respond to regional stakeholders
• Attend and participate in weekly or Biweekly calls with the regional counterparts and share progress and status updates
• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the teams by having an open and honest communication
• Proactively reaching out to the teams soliciting feedback for the work and taking appropriate action

EY- Assurance – Consultant

As part of our EY-Assurance Team, the role requires the incumbent to proactively develop relationships with the global EY teams serving these engagements and supervise the delivery of GDS engagement management support activities.

The opportunity

We’re looking for candidates with experience in carrying out routine substantive and controls-based assurance testing for the engagement teams during the financial year end for the Europe or US region.

Your key responsibilities

• Clearly and accurately document the execution of specific review procedures as defined by the engagement teams
• Demonstrate basic understanding of an industry or sector and be aware of technical issues
• Stay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client’s business
• Recognize potential review issues or unusual relationships from basic analysis of the financial statements and communicate them to the immediate supervisor
• Collaborate with seniors and engagement teams to set goals and responsibilities
• Deliver work in line with designated methodology, project plan or process in line with EY standards
• Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when dealing with the team members
• Maintain a strong client focus, be responsive to team requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with team contacts
• Where appropriate, challenge procedures used in the past by team members and attempt to enhance review techniques
• Compare efficiency of review procedures performed across different clients and suggest ideas for improvement.
• Contribute ideas/opinions to the assurance teams and listen/respond to other team members’ views
• Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery
• Promote EY’s ethical and professional standards, including data confidentiality, especially when dealing with outsiders

Position Summary
Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provides advisory services including Accounting and regulatory support for accounting change and special matters, accounting processes and controls support.

We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Optimization professional with functional expertise in one or more Reporting platforms such as Workiva, Axiom, etc. In this role you will apply your Financial Reporting expertise to support and enable our client’s Reporting Optimization needs. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving growth, manage delivery teams and bring subject matter expertise to enhance our FAAS services.

The Manager should be competent to manage a portfolio of clients and be responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work as per EY Global Standards for our FAAS team. While the Manager will be based out of our Gurugram or Bengaluru offices, the individual will be responsible for supporting EY practices and clients across the Global Market. Also, the individual may be required to travel to other countries (short-term) for executing client engagements.

Primary Responsibilities
The Manager will manage teams of FAAS professionals during engagements covering a broad spectrum of Reporting Optimization areas. The individual will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Work with clients to identify scope of services, plan Discovery workshops and perform current state assessment of the Reporting Operations
• Document the existing reporting processes to understand the workflow, data sources, tools used, and manual interventions
• Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and areas where automation can be applied
• Establish clear objectives for end-state optimized and automated reporting process
• Assist in developing a solution architecture that outlines how the Reporting Platform will integrate with existing systems and data sources
• Assist in designing of the Reporting Platform to align with the desired reporting processes, including setting up templates, data connectors, and workflows
• Design and plan for data integration, ensuring that data from various sources can be aggregated and utilized within the Reporting Platform
• Create report templates in the client’s Reporting Platform that adhere to the organization’s standards and requirements
• Implement validation rules and checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency
• Facilitate UAT sessions to ensure it meets the end-user needs and requirements
• Develop and deliver training programs for end-users to enable seamless transition to the new system
• Build a team of Reporting Optimization experts by enabling trainings and certification and ensure high utilization

Qualifications, skills, and experience

To qualify, candidates must have:

• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), ACCA (UK) or MBA with 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of Finance Reporting including Financial Close reporting, SEC Reporting, iXBRL tagging, ESG Reporting, other statutory and regulatory reporting
• Proficiency in tools such as Workiva, Axiom or other user-driven reporting tools
• Familiarity with Wdesk & Wdata modules within Workiva
• Knowledge of any ETL tools such as Alteryx preferred
• Knowledge of Data Integration, Data Transformation and modelling preferred
• Proficient in current state analysis (As is), future state analysis (To be), process optimization, data optimization, data analytics, data management
• Project management experience, including the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to manage a team and to establish credibility as a trusted advisor with clients
• Strong executive presence and ability to interface with all levels of management (EY and clients)
