About the project, we need power for

In collaboration with one of our partners, a well-funded fintech company, we are revolutionizing the payment market with a unique B2B marketplace concept. All components are offered, hardware, and software to equip everyday objects, accessories, and watches to become payable wearables. SwatchPay is already successfully implemented! and there are more than 60 banks in the network.

The market for wearables is huge. Until now, demand has been met almost exclusively through active wearables, which require a battery that must be charged, an Internet connection, and often have many other functions that make the whole thing expensive. This technology, on the other hand, does not require a battery. Energy is transferred passively via induction from the cash register, and this works for the lifetime of the wearable. So the payment function can be integrated into any wearable, and consumers can load their credit card onto it using the app and cloud platform.

Tasks

We are looking for a highly self-driven, responsible, and keen-to-learn Mobile Android developer who loves to develop awesome products with a focus on great user experiences.

You will be designing (technically), implementing, and delivering new features and workflows. This includes tasks like:

developing responsive communication with our own backend using OpenAPI contracts with code generation

delivering an easy to use native UI

communication to wearable devices over NFC

ensuring usability of the app in multiple languages

Requirements

You shall bring:

5+ years of professional experience in developing high-quality production Android apps

5+ years of proven experience with one or more of the latest Android programming methods: Kotlin preferable or Java, Android Studio, Gradle or equivalent

Experienced working with native UI frameworks and components

Experience with agile software development and extreme programming, e.g., SCRUM, Kanban, Continuous Integration and Deployment

Experience with Google PlayStore app management

Experience with version control (Git)

Fluent and structured English communication skills

Nice to have qualifications:

Experience in using OpenAPI/Swagger specification for API development/usage, ideally already with code generation

Great team player and communicator in a diverse and international remote team
