You will:

• Prepare Morgan Stanley’s Indirect tax returns in EMEA/APAC jurisdictions
• Perform various postings to the General Ledger, including irrecoverable VAT/GST expense, and prepare monthly balance sheet and expenses reconciliations.
• Improve the automation and standardization of various processes.
• Contribute to projects, support tax audits and work closely with key contacts across locations.
• Develop practical knowledge of the Firm’s business and understand how your role fits into it.

Qualifications

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field and min. 2 years of relevant work experience preferably in Finance/Tax function
• Sound numeric skills and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize workload and good attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
• Fluency in English and good communications skills

Team Profile:

The Indirect Tax group provides Morgan Stanley with global in-house expertise, primarily in VAT/GST and US Non-Income Tax. The team in Budapest has recently increased its global footprint and become the central location of the global indirect tax coverage.
