SEN Teaching Assistant Inclusive Primary School Chelmsford

An inclusive primary school in Chelmsford is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide essential support to young students with additional learning needs. This fulltime permanent role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a positive supportive classroom environment where every child can flourish. As an SEN Teaching Assistant youll be instrumental in helping students overcome learning barriers and gain confidence both academically and socially.

Role Highlights

  • Permanent fulltime position in a nurturing primary school dedicated to inclusion and studentcentered learning
  • Collaborate closely with experienced SEN staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans for each student providing both oneonone and small group support as needed
  • Create a positive learning atmosphere that fosters engagement growth and confidencebuilding for students with a range of learning needs
  • Work with teachers to adapt lessons and classroom materials ensuring accessibility and meaningful participation for every student
  • Provide consistent encouragement and assistance to help students reach developmental and academic milestones while promoting a safe supportive environment in which they can thrive
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills in SEN support and contribute effectively to the schools inclusive ethos

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience working with primaryaged children in an educational or SEN setting is essential with a preference for candidates who have supported children with additional needs
  • Patient and empathetic approach to working with young learners with the ability to build trusting supportive relationships with students parents and staff
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills and a willingness to collaborate closely with the SEN team to adapt approaches for each childs unique needs
  • Enhanced DBS check required to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students
