DBaaS Architect
DBaaS Architect – 6+ months – Mainly Remote, Some work on site in Germany – Start ASAP
For our international client, we are looking for an experienced Architect with focus in Database Services/Azure.
Your main task is to support the client in the centralisation of their datacentre and migration to the Cloud.
The client does not have database as a service DBaaS or Azure yet.
Tasks:
Support the client in the centralisation of their datacentre and migration to the Cloud
Assist and create governance model
Build architecture for database as a service (DBaaS) across various cloud platforms
Build architecture for multi-tenant DBaaS environments
Act as SME in Azure Cloud
Give best practice advise and define best practice framework
Prepare for migration
Develop migration strategies for on-premise databases to cloud-native or hybrid DBaaS solutions
* Work and guide 3rd party vendors to do the migration
Requirements:
Long term project experience in database architecture
Project experience as DBaaS Architect
Extensive experience in DBaaS solution design and implementation
Project experience working with on-premises and cloud database services (Azure SQL)
Expert expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Strong experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
Experience with MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB or similar
Experience as SME/Evangelist/Best practice Advisor
Preferred: Hands on project experience with operating systems/introducing processes to the operations team
Fluency in English
Project details:
Start: ASAP (November)
Duration: 6 months (+ option to extend)
Workload: 5 days per week
Location: 80% Remote, approx. 20% on site in Germany
* Languages: Fluency in English & German nice to have
