Purpose Statement:
• The business continuity analyst will manage Alorica’s IT risk profile and prepare the business recovery and continuance program. Their duties are to perform inspections and analysis of the organization’s preparedness and make suggestions on how to improve recovery time after a natural disaster or system emergency that may cause a loss of information or functionality.
• The analyst will work with the Alorica’s Operations BCP analysts to determine best practices in the communication and implementation of the Alorica BCP plan.
• Develops and implements an annual plan for all business continuity and disaster planning requirements, including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), plan preparation, planning review and approval, training, exercises, and reporting and maintains an overall IT BCP Plan.
• Schedules, communicates, and monitors annual BC testing cycle requirements. Works with BCP Team members to plan, conduct, and maintain enterprise-wide Business Impact Analysis Surveys and Business Recovery and IT Recovery Plans to ensure plans reflect critical recovery strategies and accurate recovery time objectives for Alorica’s recovery during a infrastructure related event.
• Establishes crisis recovery testing methodologies; plans and coordinates the testing of recovery support and business resumption procedures in different functional areas to ensure the recovery procedures are effective.
Essential Job Duties:
• Identifies and implements recovery operations and methods to allow the company to function at limited or partial capacity in any business impact scenario
• Creates and facilitates testing / drills for plan execution.
• Manages testing hotlines and provides solution during testing.
• Develops and provides staff training / awareness on business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Provide management updates on the testing plan and outcomes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE:
- Five or more years of previous experience in business continuity, process documentation, and communication of the BCP plan. An understanding of IT architecture to be able to understand key components and how they are important to the health of the infrastructure.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
- Thorough understanding of business continuity. ISO certification on BCMS preferred (ISO 22301 implementor / auditor)
- Ability to think through hypothetical situations and concepts and to identify risks and weaknesses in various business processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Evaluates, counsels, mentors and provides feedback to the BC Manager on the performance of others.
- Coordinates vendor risk assessment reviews for BC Team and serves as a liaison to the Enterprise Third Party Program on behalf of the BC Manager for implementing ETPP management requirements.
- Fluent English skills in speech and writing.
