Job Description
- Survey, design and Inspection – Vendor shall perform, among others, the following:
- Oversight of technical activities, including activity supervision, relative to field/domain ofexpertise. Technical Design Review and Assessment. This includes ensuring that vendor boutput is in accordance with Government and/or Globe design, implementation, and safetystandards
- a. Civil Engineering. Technical activities includes, the following but not limited to: concrete testing and rebar testing for manhole/handhole, base pad, and concrete slab protection;manhole/handhole or service box concrete pouring and launching (prefab or cast-in-place); base pad construction (concrete pouring); underground construction works for OSP –open trench (manual or mechanized), horizontal direct drilling or trenchless methodology, test pits.
- b. Electrical Engineering. Technical activities include the following but not limited to: temporary power location/tapping point; grounding system and installation; power facilities and/or electrical system.
- c. Electronics Engineering. Technical activities includes, the following but not limited to: underground construction works for OSP–open trench (manual or mechanized), horizontal direct drilling or trenchless methodology, test pits; OSP integration activities, including knockdown testing and cutover/insertion; electronic equipment installations; antenna and RRU installations; cable installations.
- d. Cable Engineering. Technical activities includes the following but not limited to: engineering and design on fiber optic cable (access or FTTH distribution), assessment and recommendations on existing cable facilities (copper/fiber), joint staking with subcon/vendor/Globe reps, witnessing and attending collaboration meetings with vendors/subcons/external entities (LGU, HOA, developers, etc)
- Inspection and validation of technical specifications to be implemented by the vendors/subcontractors.
- a. Civil Engineering. Inspection and validation includes the following but not limited to: actual site condition versus approved DDD/RTB/ARTB/SSDS data; discrepancy/variation on site (e.g. slope protection, hauling, etc.); temporary power point and water supply for construction purpos es; site coordinates; foundation bedding; foundation thickness and dimension; rebar diameter, spacing and splicing requirements versus approved design; Mill certificate and tensile test result; tower components, with quality on installation thru torque testing and similar technical activity; concrete pads versus approved drawing and location; grounding system and installation; power facilities and/or electrical system.
- b. Electrical Engineering. Inspection and validation includes the following but not limited to: grounding system and installation; power facilities and/or electrical system.
- c. Electronics Engineering. Inspection and validation includes the following but not limited to: cable installations(e.g. CPRI, jumper, etc.); Electronic equipment installation (e.g. BTS, OLT, etc.); antenna and RRU installation.
- d. Cable Engineering. inspection of subcons and implementation progress on sites, staking, resolving issues on sites and coordination with subcontractor on whatever is needed to proceed and complete the project.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
- At least 1 – 2 year(s) of working experience in the OSP Engineering and Project Engineering
- With strong background in Telco
