As our People Operations Specialist you take pride in helping Backbase to be an environment full of happy employees. You will be part of the HR Operations EMEA team responsible for the administrative processes of the employee lifecycle of our Backbase employees in the Netherlands. You will work on a wide range of activities, make sure all HR Operations processes run smoothly and are a first or second point of contact for HR questions from employees based in the Netherlands. You want to make a difference in the lives of people and you are driven to improve the employee experience by providing day-to-day HR operational support. This role is critical in driving forward the development and delivery of smooth and efficient HR operations. You also support and provide feedback to other People Team colleagues and stakeholders and handle complex questions.

Meet the job
- You will be responsible for a full range of administrative tasks throughout the employee life cycle, including issuing contracts and amendments, ad-hoc requests of employees and partnering with colleagues on projects and implementations;
- You will actively support the People team in reducing administrative tasks via clearer processes and automation;
- You are curious to understand and question current processes, using your innovative and critical thinking to identify areas of opportunity and working with your lead, senior specialist, or functional teams to implement solutions;
- You have a good understanding of Dutch HR legislation and institutions, knowledge of International legislation is a plus;
- You advocate the application of HR policies and support distribution on information;
- Align with Payroll, HRBP, TA and other teams on more complex employee queries;
- Provide outstanding customer service experience to employees and other stakeholders;
- Facilitate and transfer knowledge within and outside the People Team;
- Support our onboarding/offboarding projects and tasks;
- Ensure timely and correct processing for the deadlines of the Payroll Team
- Own relocation activities and coordination for international new hires (e.g. visa requests, IND registrations, 30% ruling);
- Administration and guidance on insurances and other benefits;
- Participate in HR Operations-related projects;
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset;
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
How about you
- You have at least 3-4 years of experience in HR Operations in a scale-up and/or fast growing company;
- You have a Bachelor or Master Degree in HR or related field or relevant work experience;
- You have knowledge and understanding of Dutch labor law and practice;
- You are fluent communication in English and Dutch, written and spoken;
- You have experience in HR field in an international environment
