Tell me about the role

A Technical Support Representative, or an IT Support Specialist, is responsible for assisting customers with technical issues or questions relating to computer hardware or software devices. The duties include taking phone calls and answering emails from customers or communicating with them through messaging platforms, helping customers diagnose technical issues over the phone and speaking with them about installing hardware or software.

  • Handling customer technical support cases through phone and email submission
  • Resolving network issues.
  • Installing and configuring hardware and software.
  • Handling support issues, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives
  • Communicating with hotels, developers and electricians to resolve hardware and software issues
  • Speaking to customers to quickly get to the root of their problem.
  • Providing timely and accurate customer feedback.
  • Talking customers through a series of actions to resolve a problem.
  • Keeping records of customer interactions
  • Compiling reports

Candidate profile

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to provide technical support for web, desktop and mobile applications is
  • Confidence on the phone
  • Basic data entry knowledge
  • Familiarity with Windows and .NET languages
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to retain and recall important information
  • Capacity to work independently and proactively
  • High aptitude for following communication guidelines, procedures and policies
