Job Description

Sr. STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

The Sr. Structural Engineer is responsible for the following:

  • Provide technical expertise in the field of Civil Engineering Design
  • Scope, investigate, define and prepare project plans for designs and investigations
  • Prepare comprehensive consultant briefs for designs and investigations
  • Management of the preparation of structural design plans, specifications and estimates for a range of structural design projects
  • Monitor project plans to ensure objectives are being satisfied and provide timely advice to the Engineering Manager on any anticipated delays affecting project commitments
  • Review all design documentation prepared and ensure that it is correct to a high degree of accuracy, suitable for construction and in accordance with all relevant standards and legislation and complies with all the requirements
  • Undertake technical investigations and prepare reports on a range of civil design projects
  • Provide assistance to other Engineering design staff as required to achieve within the team a sense of harmony, effective team work, highly motivated staff and a strong customer focus
  • Supervise, coordinate and mentor where appropriate, internal Structural Engineering design staff
  • Undertake post construction reviews and recommend areas of improvement
  • Contribute to the long-term planning and strategies relating to the engineering projects and programs within the department
  • Perform other duties or tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Sr. CIVIL ENGINEER

The Sr. Civil Engineer is responsible for the following:

  • Provide technical expertise in the field of Civil Engineering Design
  • Scope, investigate, define and prepare project plans for designs and investigations
  • Prepare comprehensive consultant briefs for designs and investigations
  • Management of the preparation of civil design plans, specifications and estimates for a range of civil design projects
  • Monitor project plans to ensure objectives are being satisfied and provide timely advice to the Engineering Manager on any anticipated delays affecting project commitments
  • Review all design documentation prepared and ensure that it is correct to a high degree of accuracy, suitable for construction and in accordance with all relevant standards and legislation and complies with all the requirements

Sr. MECHANICAL ENGINEER

The Sr. Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the following:

  • Provide technical expertise in the field of Mechanical Engineering Design
  • Project leader and company resource for mechanical system design and development
  • Develop mechanical system design solutions based on engineering principles and involvement in presentation of the solution to clients
  • Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases
  • Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed
  • Provide critical review and guidance to teammate’s analysis and design
  • Capable of critical thinking, long term system planning, design and analysis to ensure success of projects
  • Lead other engineers in the development of technical skills
  • Collaborate and work effectively with all other technical departments
  • Adopt a responsible attitude to project management and actively undertake training of subordinate staff
  • Ensure application and maintenance of all Quality System procedures
  • Manage projects including organization of junior staff and project delivery to time and cost requirements
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the highest possible standards of design by maintaining a good working knowledge of proven building services systems
  • Undertake project risk assessments to ensure safe installation and operation
  • Perform other duties or tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Sr. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

The Sr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for the following:

  • Provide technical expertise in the field of Electrical Engineering Design
  • Undertake Electrical design and consultancy work including systems design, production, specifications and schedules
  • Serving as the technical leader for significant development projects
  • Able to manage several simultaneous projects
  • Coordination of design, test, and build activities between the design team and key cross-functional teams
  • Application of standard engineering design principles and methodology for research of design options and experimentation to determine potential design feasibility or application
  • Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members
  • Adopt a responsible attitude to project management and actively undertake training of subordinate staff
  • Check adequacy and accuracy of information and documentation produced by others
  • Manage projects including organization of junior staff and project delivery to time and cost requirements
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the highest possible standards of design by maintaining a good working knowledge of proven building services systems and new developments
  • Undertake project risk assessments to ensure safe installation and operation
  • Perform other duties or tasks that may be assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, duly licensed preferred but not required
  • Minimum of (6) years of Engineering experience, ideally in a supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of CAD standards
  • Efficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience leading design team
  • Knowledgeable in cost estimation and preparation of Bill of Materials
  • Systems level engineering experience with a focus on design
  • Well developed, detail oriented high level of organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with management to set and achieve goals based on priorities of development projects and support of internal and external customers
