PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/ ATTRIBUTES:
- Preferably with MS Degree in Applied Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition or Development Economics;
- Has attended at least 24 hours of relevant training preferably on dietary assessment, nutrition survey or project management;
- Must have at least two years of technical writing or related ability;
- Has demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills; and
- Proficient in MS Office programs.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and prepares research proposals;
- Prepares and reviews/ edits technical reports and other related reports;
- Investigates the factors that influence dietary intake and disease outcomes and collaborates with other staff/ division/ partners on the epidemiological studies to identify determinants/ factors of malnutrition;
- Assists in the overall planning, organizing, and managing of the nutrition survey;
- Assists in the management of the nutrition survey budget and expenses;
- Involve in the development and updating of tools and manuals for efficient and effective assessment and monitoring of nutrition and health status of the population;
- Mentors and coaches young researchers in the operations of the nutrition survey;
- Plans, organizes, implements, and manages the activities of the dietary component;
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of supervisors and editors of the dietary component; and
- Acts as trainer of the dietary component relative to the nutrition survey.
