ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be responsible for optimising, maintaining our websites & improving their performance.
Reporting to the Website Manager under the Marketing Department managed by the Marketing Manager, you will work closely with SEO Specialists, Web Content Writers, a UX/UI specialist, and will be supported by another Web Developer and a Web Admin.
Requirements
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- WordPress site & server management (maintaining DNS records, SSL certs, domain names, plugin updates, manage backups, security etc)
- Monitor & optimise site speed, performance, and technical optimisation, fix issues (broken links, bugs, etc.)
- Ensure that all websites follow SEO standards with SEO Team
- Resolve any advanced technical issues with web hosting providers
- Create new websites/webpages or update existing ones, either static or dynamic, with UX/UI Specialist and the Design Team
- Test & debug beta version of websites before launch
- Build reusable codes for future use
ESSENTIAL – you must possess these skills
- 2 years experience as a web developer
- Strong technical experience in Front End Web Development
- Strong technical experience in WordPress from installation to maintenance
- Strong HTML & CSS knowledge/coding skills
- Experience in editing & modifying WordPress plugins
- Graphic design experience using Photoshop, Illustrator
- Understand Media Queries & how they impact Mobile Responsive CSS & Design
- Basic understanding of how DNS works
- Basic knowledge on server management & online security, as well as content management
DESIRABLE – bonus if you possess these skills
- Working knowledge of WordPress plugin integration with CRM lead generation forms (we use Zoho CRM)
- Direct experience in maintaining a website running on Woocommerce
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager & tracking pageviews, transactions & events
- Working knowledge of PHP and Javascript
- Basic understanding of UX/UI foundations
- Experience in using Elementor WordPress Theme Development
