Qualifications & Experience
·        Must have Mechanical Engineering qualifications
·        Technical and mechanical aptitude
·        Design / Drafting experience via CAD 2D and 3D – preferred software Autodesk Inventor
·        Comprehensive knowledge of welding symbols and the ability to read welding drawings
·        Comprehensive knowledge of tolerances
·        Knowledge of metal fabrication / sheet metal works / components
·        Hands-on workshop experience in engineering projects and/or production
·        Creativity and problem-solving qualities
·        Excellent Communication Skills
·        Awareness/experience with Australian standards AS1100 on steel works, welding and manufacturing is beneficial
·        Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Tasks & Responsibilities
·        The draftsperson’s responsibilities will include completing fabrication/manufacturing drawings for a range of logistics devices
·        Where required, the draftsperson will also complete new solutions and concepts to meet customer challenges
·        Drawing responsibilities may include working on strategic R&D projects and developing new products
·        Competency to scope required information from customer descriptions/images/dimensions/models and create manufacturing drawings based on the same.
