Metro Manila College (formerly the Novaliches Academy) in Novaliches, Quezon City, was founded in 1947 by Dr. Mamerto S. Miranda, a USAFFE Veteran, in his desire to give educational opportunity to the youth of the community. The School was established under the philosophy of providing better basic education, collegiate, vocational and technical courses. Six of its programs namely; BSBA, BEED, BSEd, and the Graduate Studies Programs in MAEd, MBA, Ph.D received LEVEL II Accreditation Status and BS in Criminology earned LEVEL I Accreditation Status by the Association of Christian School, Colleges and Universities – Accrediting Agency, Inc. (ACSCU-AAI).
