Virtual Rockstar is seeking an Insurance Verification and Prior Authorization Specialist. This position would be starting at 30 hours per week with the intention of transitioning to 40 hours per week.
Our client s practice is dedicated to empowering patients runners hikers cyclists skiers and more to be proactive with their health and enjoy lifelong adventures in the outdoors. They pride themselves on leading community talks and classes focused on injury prevention and conditioning.
Responsibilities:

Insurance Verification & Authorization: Verify patient insurance coverage obtain preauthorizations for procedures and clarify coverage details with insurance providers.

Billing & Records Management: Assist with billing corrections in collaboration with our billing team maintain patient records and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.

Patient & Provider Interaction: Manage referrals from other healthcare providers respond to patient queries and follow up with patients postsession.

Documentation & Communication: Input information and documents into patient charts ensure intake forms are complete and handle faxes emails and phone calls.

Administrative Tasks: Maintain electronic medical records manage appointment waitlists and assist with data entry and basic report generation.

Additional Projects: Participate in Canva projects if interested assist with patient scheduling and support the Lead VA with various backend tasks.
Requirements

Experience: Familiarity with insurance verification prior authorizations and electronic medical records.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Gmail Google Meet Google Drive Excel and experience with Prompt EMR is a plus.

Skills: Strong attention to detail excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Availability: Ability to work remotely with reliable internet access and maintain confidentiality and patient privacy.
