Qualifications & experience
- Must be a graduate in any of the following disciplines: Chemistry, & Chemical Engineering .
- Must be a License Chemist or Chemical Technician.
- Proficient in – Computer, Analytical Laboratory Skills such as titration, Critical Thinking Skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Checks and verifies test results and reports of finished goods, ingredients, raw materials. Packaging materials and other samples as required by FBCP and ensures that these confirm to specification by consumer requirements before releasing.
- Keeps the plant documents and records control procedures. Ensures effective implementation of plant documents; documents are up to date.
- Facilitates distribution of internal and corporate issued documents and ensures all plant
- Ensures laboratory items such as glass wares, chemicals, reagents and equipment are adequate and functional.
- Checks the compliance of subordinates of set standards through participation on proficiency and ring test programs.
- Ensures that GMP are being observed in the department such as checking the proper usage of personal protective equipment and proper handling of chemicals.
- Ensures implementation of the sampling and testing procedures in accordance with documented sampling plans and inspection programs related to incoming materials and finished products.
- Participate in the implementation of the Hold and Release Procedure through a sign-off on finished product clearance related to organoleptic and physicochemical specifications.
- Ensures that all laboratory equipment of the laboratory is calibrated based on set frequency and non-conforming equipment are handled appropriately.
