SENIOR HR GENERALIST

Work Set-Up: Hybrid , Onsite for the first 90 days

Location: Makati, Valero

Schedule: 12:30am - 8:30am (MNL), Tuesday to Saturday

Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Job Summary

The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing and executing key Human Resources functions, with primary accountability for Employee Relations, HR Reporting and Analytics, Compliance and Policy Administration, HR Operations, Performance Management, and Employee Engagement. This role serves as a strategic HR partner to management and employees, ensuring compliance, fostering a positive work environment, and supporting organizational objectives through effective HR practices and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations concerns and conduct investigations on workplace issues, grievances, and policy violations.
  • Provide guidance on disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, performance management, and employee relations matters.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics, including headcount, attrition, absenteeism, and employee movements, to support business decisions.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring timely processing of employee transactions, accurate recordkeeping, and compliance with HR procedures.
  • Administer performance management processes, including appraisals, Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), and employee development initiatives.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement, wellness, recognition, and learning programs to support retention and organizational growth.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and government-mandated requirements, while maintaining accurate HR documentation and supporting audits.
  • Review and recommend improvements to HR policies, procedures, and workplace practices to enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience in the Philippines (required)
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR practices
  • Experience handling complex employee relations issues across different regions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion .
  • Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., BambooHR or similar) and Microsoft Office Workspace
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-country environment .

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

Employee Relations (35%)

  • Resolve at least 9 5 % of employee relations cases within established turnaround times.
  • Complete investigations and submit recommendations within 5–10 working days from receipt of complaint.
  • Maintain 100% documentation and case records for all employee relations matters.
  • Reduce recurrence of employee relations issues through coaching and proactive interventions.

HR Reporting & Analytics (25%)

  • Submit 100% of required HR reports accurately and within deadlines.
  • Maintain HR data accuracy of at least 98%.
  • Deliver workforce analytics and management reports within agreed timelines.
  • Provide annual manpower planning, attrition, and workforce analysis reports as scheduled.

Compliance & Governance (15%)

  • Achieve 100% compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain zero compliance penalties resulting from HR process deficiencies.
  • Complete annual policy reviews and updates within designated timelines.
  • Ensure readiness for internal and external compliance audits.

HR Operations (10%)

  • Ensure 100% completion of onboarding and offboarding requirements within service level standards.
  • Maintain employee records accuracy of at least 98%.
  • Process employee movement transactions within established turnaround times.

Employee Engagement & Retention (10%)

  • Support achievement of organizational engagement objectives .
  • Monitor turnover trends and recommend retention strategies.
  • Assist in maintaining voluntary attrition within approved targets.
  • Successfully implement employee engagement and wellness initiatives as planned.

Stakeholder Satisfaction (5%)

  • Achieve at least 85%–90% satisfaction ratings from employees and managers.
  • Respond to employee and management inquiries within agreed service levels.
