Supplier Quality Engineering Team Leader

Currently we are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineering expert, ready to take on a dual role of Team Leader and Senior Engineer.
Key duties & Responsibilities
As Supplier Quality Engineering Team Leader / Senior Supplier Quality Engineer you are responsible for
- Quality and Operational performance of a selected number of suppliers
- Working with suppliers on performance monitoring, solve technical issues and drive technical process improvements, for example quality and yield improvement, process control, risk analysis and reduction.
- A small team of Supplier Quality Engineers
- Work closely together with Frencken’s procurement team and Frencken’s suppliers’ team.
Job description
- Responsible for the entire Quality and Technical process performance for suppliers and their n-tier suppliers.
- Monitor, review and drive supplier quality performance from incidents to structural improvement.
- Contribute to supplier development (e.g. implementing SPC, lean, FMEA, operational excellence at suppliers or n-tier suppliers).
- Optimize manufacturing processes at suppliers by improving quality, testing and qualification infrastructure.
- Supporting the development of a Procurement-wide Quality strategy
- Carry-out Supplier Improvement Plans (SIP) and prioritize according to supplier’s performance.
- Manage a small team of five supplier quality engineers.
Background
- Completed (minimum) HBO education, preferably in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of work experience in a similar role.
- Experience in a production environment with high-tech products and complex assembly processes.
- Experience in improvement projects in supply chain.
- Experience in relationships with suppliers.
