CONTROLLER (WITH REAL ESTATE / PROPERTY MANAGEMENT BACKGROUND)

The Controller will manage the entire accounting & finance operations, overseeing financial reporting (GAAP, tax), internal controls, ensuring compliance and providing key financial insights to executives for profitable growth. Key Responsibilities : Financial Reporting & Compliance : Produce financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement), manage monthly/quarterly/annual closes, ensure GAAP, SEC, & tax compliance (federal/state). Internal Controls : Design and implement systems to prevent errors, fraud, and protect company assets. Strategic Finance : Analyze financial data, provide insights for profitability, manage debt, and participate in loan renegotiations. Audit Coordination : Lead and coordinate external audits. Key Qualifications : CPA (Certified Public Accountant) often required. Strong background in property accounting, real estate finance, or management. Deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS, tax laws, and financial regulations. Role in the Company : A senior-level position, often reporting to the CFO or CEO. Crucial for accurate financial health and strategic decision-making in real estate firms.
