Accountant

Position Overview

The Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing payables, and supporting monthly closings and audits. This role also ensures compliance with internal controls and helps improve financial processes through regular analysis and reporting. This requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced BPO environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete month-end closing and financial reporting processes.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Establish controls and updates to accounting records and files.
• Serve as accounts payable point of contact owning bill entry and bill payments.
• Ownership of company credit card expense reconciliation and monitor adherence to company expense policy.
• Conduct monthly trend analysis on balance sheet and profit and loss statements.
• Lead in provision of information requests, assisting with financial statements preparation, and with annual audits.
• Understand and ensure processes comply with internal controls and business processes, and implement improvements as needed.
• Ad-hoc accounting research and application.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. CPA certification or actively working toward CPA qualification.

Preferred Experience: At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a public accounting firm or an equivalent role. Accounting internship experience is sufficient for recent graduates or upcoming graduates.

Must excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong technical and analytical skills.

Technical Experience: Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with key functions and PivotTables. Basic understanding of Microsoft CRM is a plus.
