POSITION TITLE : HEAD OF CREDIT DECISION REPORTS TO : HEAD OF UNDERWRITING DIRECTLY SUPERVISES : CREDIT DECISION TEAM LEADERS UNIT/DEPARMENT : UNDERWRITING DEPARTMENT DIVISION/ GROUP : RISK JOB SUMMARY The Head of Credit Decision is responsible for effectively manage the operations of the Credit Decision Team. Oversees and takes responsibility for the overall performance of the team. Devises plans in support of the company’s business goals and has direct control of its implementation. Able to assume the role of Head of Underwriting as the need arises. Directs and supports the overall activity / operations of the department within the limits of company guidelines and policies. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reviews and assesses consumer loan applications. Renders sound judgment and credit decision on consumer loan applications. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures using the operations manual and underwriting guidelines to control risk. Monitors daily productivity, service delivery and quality of work to achieve target. Proactively identify, plan, and implement initiatives to achieve or improve productivity, service delivery, and quality of work. It is accepted and understood that the employee may perform other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Years of Work Experience: 10 years and up Educational Attainment/ Required course ( if applicable) : Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies / Administration / Management, Commerce, Finance / Accountancy / Banking Required Certification/ Professional License ( if applicable ): Field of Specialization ( if applicable ): Banking and Financial, Credit Evaluation, Banking, Lending Companies, Financial Technology ( Fintech ) Knowledge and Skills Requirement: Knowledge on credit process Leadership skills Underwriting skills Time management Service-oriented
