Technical Buyer

• College graduate of any 4 year course; Engineering course is an advantage
• At least with 2 years experienced as technical buyer
• As technical buyer, with experienced or assigned in Materials Ordering, Consignment and Vendor Management System.

Core Job Functions

Sourcing & Evaluation

Identifying, screening, and approving suitable technical suppliers for components, materials, or services.

Requirements Definition

Working with Engineering/Production/Planning to understand precise technical specifications (BOMs, standards) for purchases.

Negotiation & Contracting

Preparing RFQs, analyzing bids, negotiating pricing, terms, and multi-year agreements.

Procurement Execution

Creating and managing Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring timely delivery, and adjusting schedules.

Supplier Management

Building relationships, monitoring performance, conducting audits, and resolving quality/delivery issues.

Cost Management

Identifying cost-saving opportunities, analyzing market trends, and reducing procurement risks.

Internal Liaison

Acting as the link between suppliers and other departments (Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning).

Data & Documentation

• Maintaining accurate procurement records, managing Purchasing systems, and providing reports.
• Flexible, can support during weekends and holidays
• Trustworthy and has high integrity
