Bookkeeper/Accounting Officer

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting Officer to support the financial operations and expansion of our growing Japanese restaurant brand.

As we prepare to open new branches starting 2026, this role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting operational decisions, and helping ensure disciplined, scalable growth. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in food & beverage accounting and thrives in a fast-paced, owner-led environment.

Role Overview

• The Bookkeeper / Accounting Officer will manage day-to-day financial transactions, reporting, and compliance for current and future restaurant branches. This position works closely with ownership and operations to ensure financial clarity, cost control, and sound business practices as the company expands.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Record daily sales, expenses, and vendor payments
• Maintain accurate books for multiple branches (current and future)
• Reconcile bank accounts, POS reports, and cash transactions
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Track accounts payable and receivable
• Process payroll coordination and staff-related payments
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation

Cost Control & Restaurant Support

• Monitor food cost, labor cost, and operating expenses
• Assist in inventory costing and variance analysis
• Support budgeting and cash flow management
• Coordinate with operations on cost-saving opportunities
• Assist ownership with financial projections for new branches

Compliance & Reporting

• Prepare reports for external accountants and auditors
• Ensure timely filing of required government documents (BIR, etc.)
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Support financial requirements for lease applications and expansion planning

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Officer, or similar role
• Restaurant or hospitality accounting experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with accounting software and POS systems
• Highly organized, accurate, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (not required with equivalent experience)
• Salary Range

• PHP 25,000 - PHP 40,000 per month
• (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
