We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security & Automation Specialist to strengthen our cybersecurity posture, lead automation initiatives, and support the development of a secure technology roadmap for the future.

As our Cyber Security & Automation Specialist, you'll play a critical role in protecting the firm's technology infrastructure while designing secure automation solutions that streamline business operations.
You'll collaborate closely with Executive Leadership, Operations, Legal, Intake, and Technology teams to implement secure system integrations, strengthen cybersecurity controls, and optimize workflows across the organization.
Your work will directly contribute to data protection, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the firm's continued growth.

What You'll Do
Cybersecurity & Infrastructure
- Design and implement cybersecurity frameworks that protect firm data, systems, and communications.
- Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analyses.
- Establish and enforce role-based access controls (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and identity management policies.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Implement endpoint protection and secure cloud configuration best practices.
- Ensure compliance with legal industry data protection standards and privacy regulations.
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute the firm's long-term cybersecurity roadmap.
Automation & Systems Integration
- Design and implement secure integrations between business applications and platforms.
- Build workflow automation using APIs, Webhooks, Zapier, Make, Microsoft Power Automate, or similar tools.
- Ensure automation solutions follow cybersecurity, governance, and data privacy standards.
- Automate client communications, reporting workflows, notifications, and operational processes.
- Maintain technical documentation for automation architecture and security controls.
CRM & Workflow Optimization
- Optimize case management and operational workflows to improve productivity and reduce manual work.
- Implement secure data transfer protocols across systems.
- Improve end-to-end workflow automation throughout the client lifecycle.
- Develop automation dashboards and monitoring solutions that identify system anomalies and performance issues.
Process Documentation & Governance
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cybersecurity protocols and automation workflows.
- Create system architecture diagrams and infrastructure documentation.
- Document access management procedures, system dependencies, and governance practices.
- Develop training materials that promote cybersecurity awareness and secure technology usage.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Operations, Intake, Legal, Technology, and Executive Leadership teams.
- Translate complex cybersecurity and automation concepts into clear, business-friendly recommendations.
- Train employees on phishing prevention, data protection, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Serve as the firm's internal advisor on cybersecurity risks, automation strategy, and technology governance.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, process automation, systems integration, IT infrastructure, or related technical roles.
- Strong experience working with APIs, Webhooks, and enterprise system integrations.
- Hands-on experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, Microsoft Power Automate, Airtable, or similar technologies.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including:
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Identity and Access Management
- Encryption standards
- Cloud security best practices
- Endpoint protection
- Network security fundamentals
- Experience implementing secure cloud-based environments, preferably Google Workspace.
- Ability to perform security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Personal Injury law firms, legal services, insurance, healthcare, or other compliance-driven industries.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as:
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- ISO 27001
- SOC 2
- Experience with SIEM tools or security monitoring platforms.
- Familiarity with business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or DOMO.
- Experience developing IT governance policies and technology standards.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as:
- CompTIA Security+
- CISSP
- CEH
- CISM
- Experience leveraging AI technologies to improve cybersecurity monitoring and workflow automation.
