CUSTODY OFFICER JOB SUMMARY The Custody Officer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of custody operations and ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of securities and cash transactions. The role serves as a key point of contact for institutional clients, Account Officers, regulators, custodians, depositories, and other market participants on all custody-related matters. RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the accurate and timely settlement, safekeeping, and administration of securities and cash transactions, ensuring the protection of client assets under custody. Manage and approve reconciliations, record maintenance, and asset holdings across registries, depositories, custodians, and settlement accounts to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Supervise the end-to-end processing of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions, including client communications, instruction management, and settlement of related proceeds and entitlements. Serve as the primary operational contact for institutional clients and Account Officers, ensuring effective handling of custody-related transactions, inquiries, reporting requirements, fund orders, and tax services. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls, mitigate operational risks, lead the custody operations team, and drive service excellence and continuous process improvement. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in custody operations, securities services, trust banking, investment operations, or related financial services functions. At least 3-5 years of managerial or supervisory experience in custody services, securities operations, or asset servicing. Strong knowledge of securities settlement, asset servicing, corporate actions, cash management, and custody operations.
