About The Role
PORTFOLIO MANAGER JOB SUMMARY: The Portfolio Manager is responsible for formulating and executing investment strategies across domestic and foreign currency fixed income and equity portfolios for institutional and individual clients. The role oversees portfolio construction, asset allocation, investment selection, and risk management to achieve client investment objectives while maximizing risk-adjusted returns. The Portfolio Manager continuously monitors local and global financial markets, develops strategic and tactical investment recommendations, and works closely with clients, Account Officers, Investment Advisers, Traders, and Senior Management to deliver customized portfolio solutions. The role is accountable for portfolio performance, compliance with investment mandates, and ensuring all investment activities are executed in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement investment strategies across fixed income, equity, and multi-asset portfolios based on market conditions, economic outlook, client objectives, and risk parameters. Monitor local and global financial markets, economic developments, and investment trends to identify opportunities and formulate strategic and tactical portfolio recommendations. Construct and manage client portfolios, providing customized investment solutions that align with clients' financial objectives, liquidity requirements, and risk tolerance. Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposure, liquidity, and asset allocation to ensure portfolios remain aligned with investment mandates and return objectives. Evaluate investment opportunities across domestic and international fixed income and equity markets and recommend appropriate portfolio actions. Execute portfolio rebalancing and investment decisions in coordination with traders and other investment professionals to optimize portfolio outcomes. Ensure all investment transactions and portfolio activities comply with applicable regulations, internal policies, investment guidelines, and client mandates. Prepare and present portfolio reviews, investment recommendations, market outlooks, and performance reports to clients, Account Officers, Investment Advisers, and Senior Management. Participate in investment committee discussions and contribute to the development of house views, investment strategies, and portfolio positioning decisions. Maintain awareness of market, credit, liquidity, and investment risks and implement appropriate risk management measures. Support business growth initiatives by deepening client relationships and delivering superior portfolio management solutions. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Management, or a related field. Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is an advantage. Treasury Certification Program, Trust Institute Foundation of the Philippines (TIFP) Trust School, or other trust and investment-related certifications are preferred. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Portfolio Management, Fixed Income, Equities, Investment Research, Asset Management, Trust Banking, Treasury, or related investment functions. Experience managing investment portfolios and developing asset allocation strategies is preferred. Experience serving institutional and high-net-worth clients is an advantage.
