As the Surgical Counselor Associate you are responsible for generating revenue through sales conversion in product or service availment. You are tasked in assisting patients in making well-informed decisions about undergoing surgery. You are responsible for providing personalized pre-operative information including instructions, quotations and documentation, addressing basic medical and surgical queries, and scheduling surgeries.
Your contributions are
- Pre-Operation Support
- Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and s chedule pre-operative assessments, and surgical appointments based on the availability of patients, doctors, and the Operating Room (OR) through coordination (or negotiation as needed) with the OR department and ensures accountability through constant engagement.
- Provide information to enable patients and their families to make well-informed decisions about undergoing surgery, including instructions, consent forms, quotations, needed pre-operative requirements.
- Surgery Preparation Support: Supports the OR team by preparing for surgeries, such as preparing medical charts, and other medical supplies needed.
- Address patient inquiries regarding basic surgical procedures and related information; refer technical inquiries to the appropriate parties or doctors concerned.
- Sales
- Discuss and prepare surgical quotations based on the doctor’s order.
- Present various options for patients (e.g., types of lenses, and surgical procedures)
- Offer promotional programs to entice the patient and meet surgical targets.
- Achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual surgical targets.
- Other Tasks:
- Distribute informational or visual materials on eye conditions and care, such as brochures and handouts, to help patients understand their surgery and recovery process if necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including counseling notes, consent forms, and other relevant pre-operative documents.
- Insurance/ HMO and PhilHeath Coordination: Assist patients with gathering all necessary information for documentation by discussing government-mandated benefits and discounts for PWD and Senior citizens.
- Conduct patient follow-ups to close released pending surgical quotations to booking.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- At least a minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in sales.
- Product Knowledge in the optical industry.
- Basic knowledge in MS Excel and Google Sheets.
- Knowledge with medical terms especially in Ophthalmology is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills in selling, negotiation, cross-selling, and upselling, sales closing
- Must be willing to work in in Rockwell, Makati.
