Business Analyst, R&SS

About The Role
The purpose of this role is to provide high quality business analysis and business requirements for organisational improvement, transformational change, enhancements (system and process) and new products. Work closely with business stakeholders to outline problems, identify process improvement and efficiency opportunities. Support fellow technology teams including project managers and influence downstream solutions, in delivery of high-quality project outcomes and ultimately, improved customer experience
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
- Directing analysis and discussions to elicit targeted business requirements that are fit for purpose
- Prepare comprehensive business requirements documentation, that meets the needs of business stakeholders and achieves operational best practice
- Review and dissect ‘As Is’ process and establish necessary changes required to ensure optimal ‘To Be’ processes
- Complete gap analysis, determining business requirements or objectives are being met
- Define, manage and plan, to ensure deliverables are completed within agreed time frames and are in accordance with client expectations
- Actively participate in solution design discussions and support Technical Analysts in the completion of technical specifications
- Support all stages of testing, ensuring the implemented solution reflects the agreed requirements, plus support defect management and any change requests that may emerge
- Provide input into development of training, procedures and business readiness plans to ensure smooth implementation
- In collaboration with the Project Manager, manage post implementation support to minimise disruption to the business
- Diligently follow-up any outstanding issues with business users or IT developers to ensure that projects and change initiatives are closed out promptly
Governance & Risk
- Identify Risks, Issues, Assumptions & Dependencies, along with mitigating actions where applicable
- Review team working practices/procedures to identify opportunities for improved quality or productivity
Experience & Personal Attributes
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Business Analyst role or equivalent role
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external clients
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Strong organisation and planning skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills and customer focused approach
- Capabilities to work in a fast-paced project environment, whilst pivoting to our clients’ needs
- Thorough knowledge of Business Analysis methodologies, techniques and best practice
- Thorough knowledge of the superannuation industry and previous exposure to client, regulatory requirements and operational frameworks is desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business or a related discipline an advantage
