The Opportunity: The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining a consistent supply of clean, fresh, and well-presented linens to support the daily operations of the Club. This position ensures that towels, linens, uniforms, and other washable items are properly cleaned, dried, folded, stored, and distributed according to Club standards.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and attentive to detail, with a commitment to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation expected in a private country club environment.

Duties and Functions

Sort soiled linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items according to established procedures.
Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Measure and use detergents, cleaning products, and other laundry supplies according to established guidelines.
Wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, uniforms, and other items to Club standards.
Inspect laundered items for stains, damage, or excessive wear and report or remove items from service as appropriate.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels of clean linens and towels and replenish designated areas throughout the Club as needed.
Collect soiled laundry and distribute clean items to appropriate Club departments and locations.
Keep laundry rooms, equipment, storage areas, and workspaces clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Monitor laundry supplies and notify management when additional supplies are needed.
Follow proper procedures for handling soiled or potentially contaminated laundry.
Follow all Club safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.
Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or safety issues promptly.
Assist with maintaining accurate organization and storage of Club linens and laundry supplies.
Work cooperatively with Housekeeping and other Club departments to ensure operational needs are met.
Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with Club members, guests, and fellow team members.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the Club.

Qualification Standards

Previous laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, or related experience preferred but not required.

Ability to operate or learn to operate commercial laundry equipment safely.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.

Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

Dependable, punctual, and able to manage assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and established procedures.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on operational needs.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, lifting, and folding.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull laundry bags, baskets, and supplies as required by the position.

Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, based on Club needs.

Commitment to maintaining the professional appearance, service standards, and values of the Club.
