Accountant

WE ARE SEEKING A DETAIL-ORIENTED AND EXPERIENCED AUSTRALIAN BOOKKEEPER / ACCOUNTANT TO SUPPORT AUSTRALIAN CLIENTS WITH DAY-TO-DAY BOOKKEEPING, PAYROLL, COMPLIANCE, AND FINANCIAL REPORTING. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH AUSTRALIAN ACCOUNTING STANDARDS, GST, BAS, PAYROLL, AND CLOUD-BASED ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
• Perform bank, credit card, and GL reconciliations
• Process payroll, STP, and superannuation
• Prepare BAS, IAS, GST, and PAYG reports
• Maintain accurate financial records and month-end close
• Prepare financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Liaise with clients and external accountants
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and ATO requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Australian bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online
• BAS, GST, STP, Payroll, Superannuation
• Bank reconciliations
• Financial reporting
• Microsoft Excel

HAS KNOWLEDGE USING THE CRMS BELOW

• Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks Online
• Dext or Hubdoc
• Employment Hero or KeyPay
• Karbon, Xero Practice Manager (XPM), FYI Docs
• HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho CRM (preferred)

SOFT SKILLS

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication
• Time management

Requirements

• Reliable internet connection with backup option preferred.
