About The Role

Designation: Associate – Accounts and Finance Reporting To: Senior Manager- Accounts and Finance Mode of Employment: Full Time Work Location: Sharjah Key Responsibilities Accounting Maintain general ledger and assisting in day-to-day accounting tasks such as payroll reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other relevant tasks. Assist and supervise in preparation of monthly bank reconciliation statements and weekly cash flow reporting. Highlight errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency. Review and recommend modifications or improvements to accounting systems and procedures. Assist with tax audits and tax returns (VAT, Corporate Tax). Ensure compliance with IFRS and UAE Federal Tax Laws. Assist internal and external audit teams in obtaining all necessary audit working papers, examination & documentation and execute analytical review of audit documents. Financial Reporting Prepare reports and analysis and support the development of new requests to meet the changing business needs. Obtain relevant data from appropriate sources, ensure quality and accuracy of data, and delivers timely recommendations. Other responsibilities Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures. Perform other accounting duties and support junior staff as required or assigned. Qualification & Experience Graduate in accounting with preferably part qualifications in either CPA or ACCA. Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services industry. Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Highly detail-oriented and organized. Strong knowledge of financial statements and reports. Experience with accounting general ledgers and journals. Strong knowledge in principles and practices of financial record keeping, audits, and accounting functions and IFRS. Proficiency in MS Excel. Proficiency in MS Office & Business Analytical Tools. Familiarity with accounting software and programs. Strong presentation & communication skills.
