About The Role
- system input and ensuring compliance to divisional standards. Analyzes departmental processes for the purpose of
- implementing enhanced system functionality. Assists in identifying problem causes, designing solutions, modifying the
- application or process, testing, implementation and documentation of the solution. Responsible for developing and
- maintaining an education program for new and current revenue cycle employees, which may include systems and process
- training. Responsible for assisting management with the development of audit tools and processes and may also assist in
- the development of corrective action plans as needed. Must have a thorough understanding of comprehensive Revenue
- Cycle operations
Description
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
● Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines ● Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization
● Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
● Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)
● Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time. Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
● WORKING CONDITIONS
● General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
● May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.
● May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.
● May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
● Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
● May be scheduled as needed including overtime
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in a related field, alternatively will accept an Associate's degree with 7-8 years of experience (Required)
- ● EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 3 - 4 years in an acute care hospital revenue cycle department with extensive knowledge of Patient Access, Coding, Charge Entry/Audit and Patient Accounting functions (Required)
- ● CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES
- ● Required Certifications/Licensures: Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR) within 12 months of hire
