About The Role

About PDAX At PDAX, we believe that the future of money is digital, and our mission is to empower all Filipinos to grow their wealth through blockchain technology. As one of the first crypto firms in the Philippine market, we feel a sense of duty to our users and to the ecosystem to set the standard for safety, ease of access, and reliability. We expect our team to share in this responsibility and cherish our vision of a more open and equitable financial system. We are looking for new team members that are passionate about cryptocurrency, want to work in a disruptive, fast-growing industry, and thrive in a start-up environment. If this sounds like you, then we’d love to talk. General Responsibilities The GPM for Core Services manages the product managers responsible for our foundational platform capabilities: trading, custody, wallet, identity, and internal tooling. While individual product managers within your group focus on feature-level roadmaps and day-to-day execution, your mandate is to define the overarching vision and long-term strategic direction. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering realities and product-market needs, ensuring that our core infrastructure is not just functional, but scalable, resilient, and ready to support the next wave of financial innovation at PDAX. Vision & Strategy Understands how each of the core services actually works, not just at a roadmap level, well enough to contribute meaningfully to how they're designed and to catch early when a choice made for one service will cause problems. Coordinate with B2C and B2B product managers and commercial stakeholders and determine how the Core services can support these requirements Sets the direction for where Core needs to go, which services need to migrate, which need to scale, and why, based on what the business will need. Advocates for reusability over one-off builds. You will ensure that capabilities are designed to solve for the broader platform rather than single-product needs. Collaborates with Engineering leadership on critical infrastructure (ledger, settlement, identity) and manages trade-offs when prioritizing this work against product feature roadmaps. Leadership & People Management Directly manages core PMs. You are responsible for goal setting, 1-on-1s, performance management, and scaling the team through hiring. Drives headcount planning and the organizational evolution of the Core Services group in collaboration with the Head of Product. Raises the bar on product craft across the group, from PRD quality to how well the team handles compliance and risk conversations. Reliability, Risk & Compliance Ensures robust observability (metrics, dashboards, alerting) is built into every capability. You will translate data-driven insights into actionable product decisions. Sets the standard for security and reliability alongside Engineering. Owns post-incident processes and postmortems for the group. Holds PMs accountable for compliance and risk posture, ensuring non-functional requirements (security, privacy, auditability) are prioritized in all specs and playbooks. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 7+ years in product management, with real ownership of a product line in fintech, crypto/trading, or another regulated space. Knowledge of Product Management techniques, such as Problem Discovery, Road Mapping, User Story writing, Prioritizing, and Data Analysis and Funnel Optimization. Has managed product managers before, not just individual contributors, and can hire and coach a team. Has set the direction for a platform or shared-services roadmap Strong understanding of business models, unit economics, and revenue streams, especially within fintech/crypto or trading products. Leadership and People Management Skills. Confident in verbal and written communication; able to present complex ideas in a clear and structured way. Shows empathy for user problems and can balance user needs with business and regulatory constraints. Experienced in Agile Development Process and familiar with Scrum and Kanban methodologies. Familiarity with Cryptocurrency, Web3, and TradFi ecosystems and trends; keeps up-to-date with market developments and regulatory changes. Our Culture Communication We prioritize clear and transparent communication, ensuring that there is clarity among everyone we work with. We aim to have a collaborative environment, where innovative ideas in investment strategies are shared openly and constructively, driving the industry forward. Customer-focus We think about how our decisions impact our customers and ensure we provide the best experience that we can. We believe in building lasting relationships with our clients, constantly learning from and listening to them, and always striving to look out for what’s best for both sides. Commitment We always aim to do the right thing and to do the right thing, excellently. We take accountability seriously and uphold ourselves to high standards, ensuring that we execute with attention to detail. We are dedicated to the long-term success of our clients in the dynamic world of financial technology, maintaining integrity and professionalism in every aspect of our work.
