Help Lead Fair and Efficient Property Damage Resolution

As the Property Damage Manager, you will oversee the firm's property damage claims process from investigation through resolution, ensuring claims are properly evaluated, negotiated, and resolved in a timely manner.

You'll work closely with attorneys, clients, insurance carriers, contractors, and external stakeholders to drive fair settlements, maintain compliance, and support outstanding client service.

What You'll Do

Property Damage Claims Management

  • Lead and oversee property damage investigations involving residential, commercial, and industrial property claims.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of property damage claims from intake through resolution.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant handling of all assigned cases.
  • Monitor claim progress and drive efficient case resolution.

Investigation & Damage Assessment

  • Conduct site inspections and evaluate the cause, extent, and impact of property damage.
  • Gather evidence, review reports, interview involved parties, and document investigative findings.
  • Identify discrepancies, fraud indicators, or issues affecting claim outcomes.
  • Develop comprehensive investigation reports and claim recommendations.

Negotiation & Claim Resolution

  • Negotiate settlements, repair costs, and claim resolutions with insurance carriers and third parties.
  • Advocate for fair claim valuation while protecting client interests.
  • Resolve disputes through effective negotiation and professional communication.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to support legal strategy when necessary.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with insurance adjusters, contractors, engineers, legal representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Build productive relationships with vendors and restoration partners.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Case Management, and Operations teams to improve claim outcomes.
  • Support organizational initiatives focused on operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate claim documentation and investigation records.
  • Support risk management initiatives by identifying trends and recommending preventive measures.
  • Promote best practices in claims handling and documentation.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–7+ years of experience in property damage claims, investigations, insurance, risk management, or a related field.
  • Strong background in claims investigations, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
  • Knowledge of property insurance policies, claims handling procedures, and liability assessment.
  • Experience coordinating with legal teams, insurance companies, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management systems.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership or supervisory experience managing claims or property damage teams.
  • Experience within Personal Injury law firms, insurance carriers, or legal services organizations.
  • Experience negotiating complex property damage settlements.
  • Familiarity with Filevine or similar legal case management platforms.
  • Knowledge of California property damage claims and insurance practices is considered an advantage.
