As our organization continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Claims Investigator to support our Personal Injury team by validating claims, identifying potential fraud, and gathering critical evidence that strengthens case strategy and client outcomes.

As a Claims Investigator, you'll play a critical role in supporting personal injury cases involving motor vehicle accidents by conducting comprehensive investigations, validating claimant information, and identifying inconsistencies that may impact case outcomes.

You'll collaborate closely with attorneys, case managers, and claims professionals to provide reliable investigative findings that support legal strategy and informed decision-making.

What You'll Do

Claims Investigation & Validation

• Conduct end-to-end investigations related to Personal Injury and motor vehicle accident claims.
• Validate claimant information through records review, interviews, and data verification.
• Analyze evidence to identify inconsistencies, red flags, or potential fraudulent activity.
• Gather and verify information that supports legal case strategy and claim evaluation.

Social Media & Digital Investigation

• Conduct investigations using publicly available online sources, including social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and other digital channels.
• Collect, document, and preserve relevant digital evidence to support claim investigations.
• Ensure all investigative activities comply with applicable legal, ethical, and privacy standards.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare accurate, detailed, and well-organized investigation reports with supporting evidence.
• Maintain complete and organized case files, investigation logs, and documentation.
• Present findings clearly to attorneys, case managers, and other internal stakeholders.

Systems & Process Management

• Utilize internal claims systems, databases, and case management platforms effectively.
• Follow established investigation procedures and documentation standards.
• Contribute ideas for improving investigation processes and operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Legal, Case Management, and Claims teams to support case development.
• Provide investigative insights that assist attorneys in evaluating liability, damages, and claim validity.
• Support ongoing case strategy through timely communication and accurate reporting.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in claims investigation, insurance claims, healthcare claims, or a related investigative role.
• Strong background in insurance-based investigations.
• Experience investigating Personal Injury and motor vehicle accident claims.
• Experience conducting social media and digital investigations using publicly available information.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and potential fraud.
• Experience using claims systems, databases, and case management platforms.
• Professional proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within Personal Injury law firms or legal services organizations.
• Knowledge of insurance claims processes, fraud detection techniques, and liability investigations.
• Familiarity with Filevine or other legal case management systems.
• Experience preparing investigative reports for legal or insurance professionals.
• Understanding of California Personal Injury claims and insurance practices is considered an advantage.
