About The Role

Job Summary The HR Administrator is a member of the People Success team responsible for providing day-to-day HR administrative support across the colleague lifecycle, including employee changes, onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, documentation, and data updates. The role supports colleagues, managers, and the broader People team by preparing documents, maintaining records, processing routine requests, and helping ensure HR activities are completed accurately and on time. Working within a tiered operating model, the HR Administrator supports centralized intake, logs requests, completes recurring administrative tasks, and refers matters to the appropriate team member when additional HR support is required. The role works with HR team members and partner teams to help ensure requests are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Duties and responsibilities Receive, log, and update HR support requests through the centralized intake process. Prepare and maintain HR documentation, including employee change forms, onboarding and offboarding paperwork, leave letters, and other employee records. Refer requests requiring additional support to the appropriate HR team member with the relevant documentation. Process colleague data changes and HRIS updates, and maintain accurate employee records and files. Support onboarding and offboarding administration, including creating files, preparing documentation, and completing routine follow-up tasks. Track probation periods, fixed-term contract end dates, return-to-work dates, and other employee lifecycle milestones. Prepare documentation and complete routine administrative tasks for leave requests, benefits inquiries, and payroll support processes. Respond to routine colleague and manager queries using established templates, tools, and knowledge resources, referring non-routine matters to the appropriate HR team member. Support reporting, audits, and compliance reviews by maintaining accurate documentation and providing required records. Follow established processes, maintain accurate records, and provide administrative support across the team as needed. Qualifications Tertiary level qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum 1–3 years of experience in HR administration, people operations, or a related support role. Working knowledge of HR administration processes across the employee lifecycle, including documentation, data entry, onboarding, offboarding, and records support. Experience working with HR systems and Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel. In addition, the role requires the following attributes: Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, records, and data entry. Good organization and ability to manage routine tasks and deadlines. Good written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and service-oriented approach. Ability to identify when a request should be referred to another HR team member. Customer service mindset and ability to provide practical support to colleagues and managers. Ability to follow established workflows, templates, and requirements consistently. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism. Ability to work cooperatively with others and support the team as needed. Working conditions Seequent is a global company, and flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate work across different time zones. Office-based environment (minimum 3 days in-office). This position is based out of our Calgary, Alberta office. May required occasional travel to other office locations. #LI-CG2
