About The Role
Messiah University’s nursing programs emphasize ethical and critical decision making; evidence-based nursing knowledge and practice; use of current technology to enhance communication and delivery of patient care; understanding of contemporary healthcare policy and advocacy strategies; interprofessional communication and collaboration; and application of culturally humble care concepts across diverse patient populations. The Department of Nursing offers a post-baccalaureate Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with an advanced nursing practice focus of family nurse practitioner (DNP-FNP) and post-master’s DNP in nursing leadership; master’s in nursing (MSN); and baccalaureate (BSN) nursing programs.
Employed on a per-load-unit basis for a given semester or term. Sole contracted responsibilities are those activities required in the delivery of a course (e.g., mentoring/coaching, preparation, teaching, grading, office hours). In some instances, there may be some contracted responsibilities for advising, course development or meeting other departmental needs.
Teach one or more graduate level courses in an online or face-to-face format, which includes all activities required in the delivering of a course (e.g. preparation, online teaching, maintaining availability for students, grading, course reports etc.). Learning Management System (LMS) training must also be completed prior to delivering a course.
Terminal degree in Statistics or related field preferred. Previous college teaching experience and experience with online teaching formats preferred. Candidate should have a commitment to excellence in teaching.
