About the role

As a Category Procurement Specialist – Industrial Packaging, you will play a key role in implementing and executing procurement strategies across the Industrial Packaging category throughout Europe. Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, you will help ensure the business has access to high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective packaging solutions that support operational success.

This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You will build strong supplier partnerships, monitor market developments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance cost efficiency, quality, sustainability, supply continuity, and innovation. Your work will have a direct impact on business performance across multiple locations and functions.

How you will contribute

Serve as the primary procurement contact for the Industrial Packaging category across Europe, partnering with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective procurement solutions.
Implement and execute category strategies that support business objectives, cost optimization, supplier performance, and supply continuity.
Build and manage strong supplier relationships, including contract management, commercial negotiations, performance reviews, and risk assessments.
Monitor market trends, innovations, and supplier developments to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, increased value, and greater competitiveness.
Lead sourcing and tendering activities, supporting supplier selection, contract implementation, and category development across the region.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, analyze spending and market data, and deliver sustainable procurement outcomes.
Engage with operational sites and suppliers to understand requirements, strengthen partnerships, and support long-term business success.

What you will bring

Experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, or a related field, ideally within industrial packaging, consumables, or a similar category environment.
Knowledge of procurement practices, supplier relationship management, tendering processes, contract management, and commercial negotiations within a European context.
Ability to build collaborative relationships, influence stakeholders, and work effectively across different functions, locations, and levels of an organization.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to translate data and market insights into practical business decisions.
Professional proficiency in English and willingness to travel across Europe as business needs require.
