About The Role
Shipper
Position Summary
OPEX Corporation is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipper to support domestic and international shipping operations at our Moorestown, NJ facility. This position is responsible for accurately preparing, palletizing, wrapping, strapping, and shipping customer orders while ensuring compliance with company procedures and transportation requirements. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently and as part of a team, is adaptable to changing priorities, and is willing to learn new processes and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, palletize, wrap, and strap shipments to ensure products are protected and transported safely.
- Create and manage shipping documentation to support timely domestic and international deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities.
- Complete inventory and shipping transactions within Oracle and other business systems.
- Operate label printers, document printers, document scanners, and handheld scanning devices.
- Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and moving materials within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper shipping and freight preparation procedures are consistently followed.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments, field technicians, carriers, and customers regarding shipping requirements and order status.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility by supporting various warehouse and shipping functions as business needs change.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with UPS shipping software preferred.
- Previous Oracle experience is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience handling pallets, freight shipments, shrink wrapping, and load securement is preferred.
- Familiarity with scanners, handheld devices, label printers, and shipping technology.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook for email communication and Microsoft Teams for collaboration.
- Experience of operating material handling equipment is preferred, or willingness to be trained and certified.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with coworkers, technicians, carriers, and customers.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and operational needs.
Physical/Work Environments
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching overhead, and reaching forward throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely maneuver materials, pallets, and freight in warehouses and loading dock environments.
- Employee may be required to work overtime, extended shifts, or weekends based on business demands.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment after appropriate training.
