About The Role
- Key Responsibilities
- Deputize the Managing Director in the overall management and strategic leadership of the Bank.
- Drive growth of the Bank’s assets and liabilities portfolios, ensuring profitability, competitiveness, and responsiveness to internal and external market conditions.
- Expand and retain the customer base through superior customer experience, innovative products, and strong partnerships across traditional and alternative channels.
- Contribute to policy formulation and strategic direction, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s business objectives.
- Oversee the performance of all business functions to ensure growth, operational efficiency, cost reduction, and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Enhance service delivery standards by proactively managing customer complaints, monitoring service quality, and optimally positioning staff.
- Develop and grow alternative channels, diaspora, and cards business, including forming strategic alliances with merchants and international card associations.
- Lead sales planning and performance management, including forecasting, implementation, monitoring, and achievement of business targets.
- Ensure compliance with credit and operational risk frameworks, mitigating fraud and losses.
- Build and lead a high-performing workforce through coaching, motivation, training, and effective resource allocation.
The Person
For the above position, the successful applicant should have
- University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Banking, or related field .
- Professional qualification in Banking Certification (i.e. CCBA, Banking Techniques Certificate/Diploma, any other business-related certification ) is a plus.
- Minimum of five (5) years in senior leadership roles managing businesses and people in private sector.
- Experience in commercial or business banking should be an ad value.
- Excellent planning, organization, problem solving, analytical skills and report writing skills.
- Asset and liability management, product development, and customer experience management.
- Expertise in financial analysis, business development, risk management, and portfolio monitoring.
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- A dynamic, proactive, decisive person, who can be a change agent.
