In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Review, draft, and negotiate agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards, including responding to customers RFPs/RFQs, vendor qualification documents, and contractual requests.
- Draft and negotiate contractual language with customers to appropriately reflect the business interests and policies of the parties involved.
- Serve as Contracts Lead for complex international and multi-Business Unit project contracts, as well as complex framework agreements (multi-BU and world areas).
- Act as Global Contracts Lead for Global Strategic Accounts.
- Develop and communicate creative solutions and mitigation strategies to key negotiation points.
- Provide guidance during the approval process, helping business owners make informed decisions and obtain appropriate approvals while assessing business, financial, and legal risks.
- Collaborate with customers, legal team members, and other Emerson stakeholders to bring deals to closure, while providing contract-related guidance and training to Sales, Project Management, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct legal research, provide legal advice and interpretation of legal matters, research information on agreements and contractual programs, and coordinate with outside counsel on routine matters.

For This Role, You Will Need
- Law degree
- 7+ years of work experience in a contracts-related role.
- Licensed to practice law, qualification in, or knowledge of, any other jurisdictions in scope and/or other civil/common law legal systems would be a definite advantage.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent oral and written English.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
- Comprehensive knowledge of Contract law & principles is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Additional language proficiency is a plus
- Korean Language Proficiency is a plus
