
Regional Vice President - Oncology Sales

About The Role


 As a successful Regional Vice President of Sales in our North Central Oncology division, you will build and lead a high performing team of sales leadership and sales reps tasked to increase laboratory sales revenue and profitability through market penetration and promotion of Ambry's portfolio of genetic diagnostic testing services and technology offerings. You will advocate the clinical and financial benefits of our products to all levels and call points in the hospital, specialty clinic, and physician's office including MD's, nurses, genetic counselors, and laboratory staff. The successful Regional Vice President will need a high level of sophistication to handle customer relationships with industry thought leaders, manage the dynamics between lab, doctor, & genetic counselors, and be able to drive highly complex sales to closure.
Must reside in North Central USA.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
- Hire, develop and maintain top talent at the Account Executive and Area Director levels
- Create and implement effective sales strategies for your team
- Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales result goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary
- Provide supervision through field visits and observations
- Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies
- Work closely with stakeholders from other departments
- Own and close your own accounts
- Expand menu utilization in existing accounts
- Negotiate and manage contracts
- Develop and deliver presentations
- Host and assist with trade shows
- Manage customer data in company CRM
- Help develop and lead company initiatives
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of leadership experience in laboratory services supporting clinicians and hospitals, or equivalent internal leadership experience within the organization
- Strong track record building and leading teams of sales leadership and sales reps
- Ability to sell technically complex products
- Expertise with demand creation in a large geography
- Strengths in networking and relationship development
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Strong time management skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce.com
- Open to and enjoy national travel (50%+ travel)
