## Description

Inbox Business Technologies is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and energetic Junior Oracle DBA to join our on-site IT team in Pakistan. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of our enterprise Oracle database environments. You will work closely with senior database administrators, system engineers, and software development teams to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and reliability of mission-critical databases.

### Responsibilities

  • Database Operations & Maintenance
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle Database software and related products.
  • Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including space management, user creation, and privilege management.
  • Monitor database storage, performance metrics, and resource utilization using standard monitoring tools.
  • Backup & Recovery
  • Assist in executing and verifying daily, weekly, and monthly database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN (Recovery Manager).
  • Support data restoration drills and cloning activities for development, testing, and staging environments.
  • Troubleshooting & Performance Support
  • Help troubleshoot routine database alerts, connectivity issues, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Write, review, and optimize basic SQL queries and PL/SQL blocks in coordination with development teams.
  • Document recurring issues and assist in updating standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Security & Compliance
  • Implement and maintain database security policies, user access controls, and auditing parameters under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate data compliance frameworks and regular patch updates.

## Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in managing or supporting relational databases, with a strong focus on Oracle Database (19c / 21c / 11g).
  • Fundamental understanding of Oracle Database Architecture (SGA, PGA, Tablespaces, Redo Logs).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix shell scripting and Windows environments.
  • Basic understanding of Oracle backup/recovery concepts (RMAN).
  • Certifications: Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate smoothly with on-site cross-functional teams.
  • Readiness to participate in rotating shift schedules or on-call support if required by business operations.
