VOLUNTEER BASKETBALL COACH

About the Position

Under the general supervision and guidance of the Recreation Coordinator, a Volunteer Basketball Coach will oversee a youth team participating in league play, which primarily takes place on weekday evenings and Saturdays. The coach will have a background in basketball. Girls Basketball season is October – December, and Boys Basketball season is January – March.

What You'll Do

Communicate with parents in a professional and timely manner.
Attend scheduled practices and games.
Coach in a manner that supports the program’s focus on the recreation components of the sport, which include equal playing time for all players, basketball basics, and sportsmanship.
Respect all facilities used for practices and games.

What We're Looking For

Individuals who embrace the non-competitive nature of the program, willing to model to the players and parents a healthy desire for competition in sports at a recreational level.
Ability to pass a background check.
Ability to complete concussion training.
