Chandler –Alarm and Communications is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician who is responsible for installation projects, inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting of fire alarms systems.

Preparation, assembly, programming set-up and verification of new fire alarm systems
Inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing Fire Alarm systems
Working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524, S536 and S537
CFAA certified would be an asset but not necessary
Capable of preparing thorough reports and inspection documentation
Experience in programming fire panels.
Knowledge of various fire systems;
Use of specialized test tools.
Comfortable working at heights on ladders and lifts, in attics and crawl spaces, as well as to lift 50+ lbs.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Self-motivated with a strong focus on excellent customer service.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with Special Hazards Suppression System would be an asset.
Minimum 5 years experience in Fire Alarm installations;
Grade 12 Certificate
Graduation from a recognized Electronics Program is considered an asset
Relevant industry experience is considered an asset
Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, holidays and emergency situations
Working at heights and with ladders
Ability to travel to other areas of the region when required (not frequent)
Satisfactory Criminal Background check
Must have a clean criminal record, and a valid Driver's license.
