Our Retail Center of Excellence, in Lowell, AR, is looking for a Laboratory Assistant , to join the Toy testing team in conducting safety, performance and quality assurance testing. Be directly impactful in creating a safer world for everyone.
- Builds and/or adapts basic setup and test equipment for performance of tests.
- Performs tests using general laboratory equipment.
- Performs routine care of designated test equipment and work area.
- Operates computer terminal to extract/input readily available information and to use available software.
- As directed follows defined test plans and datasheets.
- Evaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results.
- Records and explains test results.
- Reads and interprets results of tests.
- Prepares charts, graphs and reports to explain test results.
- Examines test samples, reads measuring instruments and reviews test data with supervisor.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and operational instructions.
- As instructed examines customer samples and learns to operate basic tests for each case.
- Communicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.
- Operates designated laboratory equipment and tools as directed.
- Receives instructions from and reports data to engineers and other laboratory technician staff.
- Records observed or calculated data on appropriate data sheets.
- Develops working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems.
- Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Performs other duties as directed.

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (Higher Secondary Education).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a production-focused environment.
Work Environment & Responsibilities
- Ability and willingness to work overtime when business needs arise.
