About the role

Reporting to the Director, Veralto Enterprise System (VES) Lean, North America , the VES Leader, Fundamentals North America will own, deploy, and sustain VES fundamentals across Videojet in North America. The role is primarily focused on Operations and Manufacturing lean processes, while partnering across Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Care, Finance, Sales, Service, Engineering, Product Management, HR, and other functions to strengthen performance and build VES capability.

You will work closely with site, functional, and regional leaders to improve Policy Deployment and KPI results through practical application of VES tools, daily management, standard work, structured problem solving, kaizen, and Gemba-based leadership. You will coach leaders and associates, connect improvement priorities across functions, and help sustain measurable results.

In this role, a typical day will look like

  • Drive measurable and sustainable improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, inventory, customer experience, and other VES and business KPIs.
  • Partner with Operations and Manufacturing leaders to identify performance gaps, prioritize opportunities, and implement countermeasures that improve flow, productivity, quality, delivery, cost, and standard work adherence.
  • Coach teams in VES fundamentals, including structured problem solving, daily and visual management, leadership standard work, kaizen, 5S, process mapping, KPI reviews, and Gemba observation.
  • Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives that strengthen end-to-end processes, clarify ownership, improve handoffs, eliminate waste, and connect operational improvements to customer and business outcomes.
  • Plan, facilitate, and sustain kaizen activity through effective pre-work, chartering, execution, follow-up, sustainment reviews, countermeasure tracking, practitioner development, and leadership coaching.
  • Use KPI trends, data analysis, and Gemba observations to identify root causes, measure impact, prepare concise executive updates, and support Policy Deployment and business priorities.
  • Travel approximately 20–40% across North America to manufacturing, distribution, field, and customer sites.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience deploying continuous improvement, lean, or VES fundamentals in Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, or another process-intensive environment.
  • Demonstrated experience applying structured problem solving, daily management, visual management, standard work, kaizen, process mapping, 5S, and Gemba-based improvement methods.
  • Demonstrated record of improving operational KPIs such as safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, inventory, throughput, lead time, or standard work adherence.
  • Experience facilitating kaizen events, Gemba walks, daily management reviews, root cause analysis, sustainment audits, and cross-functional problem-solving sessions.
  • Experience building lean or VES capability through coaching, training, practitioner development, certification support, leadership standard work, and sustainment governance.
  • Proficiency with data analysis, spreadsheets, presentations, and statistical or analytical tools used to assess performance and communicate results.
  • Ability to travel 20–40% of the time to manufacturing, distribution, field, and customer sites across North America.

It would be a plus if you also possess

  • Experience in a multi-site manufacturing, operations, supply chain, industrial technology, or lean deployment environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional improvements involving manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering, service, customer care, or commercial teams.
  • Familiarity with the Danaher Business System, Veralto Enterprise System, Toyota Production System, or a comparable lean operating system.
  • Experience improving both manufacturing and transactional processes.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
