About The Role
THE ROLE
Working on the Business Development team, which is a key part of the overall Marketing & Business Development Department, your focus will be on helping to drive a culture of business development by advancing activities with and for Fragomen attorneys that enhance revenues and strengthen client relationships.
The ability to think strategically and act proactively is essential to this role. The Client and Business Development Coordinator is expected to perform all responsibilities with a commitment to providing superior service to the firm’s clients, attorneys, advisors and staff, and to collaborate with Marketing and Business Development team members across the globe. The Coordinator will provide day-to-day project, research, tracking and support across Partner business development planning, client growth initiatives, pursuit and industry teams, events, pitches and other department priorities. Above all, the Client and Business Development Coordinator must fulfill the needs of the firm in a manner consistent with the Firm’s Core Values.
RESPONSIBILITIES
With oversight from and in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Business Development and other members of the Marketing and Business Development team, you will:
- Assist in the execution of business development initiatives across the U.S. and Canada
- Assist with advancing individual and regional business development plans and track progress against goals
- Directly, and in collaboration with the Business Intelligence Team, research and develop reports on trends, clients, targets, competitors and organizations to strengthen and expand the firm’s client base
- Help create action plans for client listening and feedback programs and track progress against goals
- Assist in the development and production of presentations, including annual and quarterly business reviews, business development training and educational programs
- Collaborate with the Events Team to execute client programs and events, speaking and sponsorship opportunities, and involvement in the local and regional legal/business communities
- Help with raising the profile of lawyers and professionals by coordinating with members of the BD team to facilitate awards and publications
- Coordinate with Partners and the Digital Marketing Team to publicize events and publications on social media
- Stay abreast of global news and trends impacting our clients and prospects, industries and the immigration marketplace
- Assist with BD budget, expense approvals and reconciliation of invoices
- Use the firm’s CRM system (Salesforce) to maintain client and relationship information, assign and track leads, update opportunities and pipelines, and support accurate business development reporting
- Support recurring one-on-one business development meetings with Partners by preparing agendas and background materials, maintaining business development plans, documenting action items and tracking follow-up
- Provide coordination and analytical support for client account planning, worldwide pursuit teams and industry practice groups, including scheduling meetings, maintaining target lists, monitoring activities and preparing status updates
- Develop client, target, event attendee and invitation lists through company, industry, market and competitor research
- Support end-to-end event and sponsorship activities by preparing event briefs and attendee research, coordinating pre-event Partner meetings, capturing post-event follow-up and tracking outcomes in Salesforce
- Assist with pitch and proposal preparation, presentation materials, rehearsal coordination, feedback and follow-up
- Possess superior project management skills as well as excellent organizational, analytical and writing skills
- Present ideas in clear, logical and concise format
- Possess the ability to quickly develop a strong working knowledge of the firm, its practice groups, and its clients and their industry sectors
- Demonstrate cross-cultural communication skills and ability to interface with internal clients in Fragomen offices worldwide
- Provide additional support to wider Marketing and Business Development department, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, journalism, public relations, English or a related field
- At least two to three years of experience as a marketing/BD coordinator preferably in legal services
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Knowledge of Salesforce
- Experience in marketing immigration services, legal or professional services a plus
- Highly analytical, organized and detail-oriented
- Solid writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations requiring adherence to tight deadlines
- Client service oriented with the aptitude to address internal clients’ needs in a professional and courteous manner
- Able to collaborate, excel and deliver outcomes in a team environment
- Independently driven, resourceful, proactive and self-motivated with a "make it happen" mindset and excellent interpersonal skills
Compensation
The salary range for this role reflects a variety of factors considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, work location, work arrangement, licensure and certifications, and applicable laws. Placement within the range will vary based on these factors, and compensation decisions are made to ensure internal equity and alignment with market data.
A reasonable and good-faith estimate of the current salary range for individuals able to work a hybrid schedule in the office locally is:
$60,000.00 - $83,000.00
