Job Summary

Under the guidance of the E/EiR Program Manager, the E/EiR Coordinator supports the coordination, delivering, and evaluating the E/EiR program throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. This role is based at UBC Okanagan campus in Kelowna and requires attending to the weekly E/EiR sessions, including responding to bookings, real-time needs, and professionally conducting themselves as they interact with the engineers and entrepreneurs who participate in the E/EiR program.

Work Performed

  • Coordinate the scheduling of weekly E/EiR sessions with engineers/entrepreneurs, making sure the booked space is available and appropriate to welcome them.
  • Managing the flow of sign-ups, being respectful and courteous to professionals and students alike.
  • Ensure all registered attendees are present and complete evaluations and reporting in a timely manner following each session
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Consequence of Error/Judgement

This position is responsible for interacting with working engineers and entrepreneurs. Errors could result in direct damage to credibility and the institution’s reputation.

  • Strong organizational, time management, punctuality and self-directed work skills
  • Excellent professionalism and customer-service skills
  • Experience in project or program coordination is an asset
  • Willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including perspectives in conflict with one’s own
  • Demonstrate a commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion
