Job Summary
The Senior Product Quality Control Inspector ensures that product quality specifications comply with corporate and customer standards. This role supports the implementation of QA/QC policies and oversees product assessments and vendor evaluations.
This job profile is intended for support-level staff that generally works autonomously and only requires closer supervision in non-routine situations. Quality Control Inspector

Sulzer Turbo Services (STS) is an independent provider of services and repairs of critical turbomachinery. We specialize in the repair, overhaul, and replacement of parts for high-speed rotating equipment such as steam and gas turbines, compressors, expanders, and other industrial rotating equipment found primarily in the Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Petrochemical, Ammonia, Nitric Acid, Fertilizer and Power Generation markets.
Position Summary
Provide inspection support to the quality control department
Responsibilities
- Inspecting new parts with a wide range of metrology equipment (Micrometers, CMM, ATOS blue light scanning, ect.)
- Operating quality control hardware and software programs.
- Evaluating inspection results per manufacturing/repair drawings.
- Returning rejected parts to appropriate shop members.
- Providing feedback to improve department processes.
- Support the drafting department with instructions as needed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following
- Have exposure to precision hand tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, etc.)
- Have been exposed to, or willing to learn digital equipment like CMM
- Make logical decisions and provide inspection feedback to the machinists
- Be proactive and solution oriented
- Be familiar with CAD and component drawings
- Be familiar with GDT per ASME Y14.5M-2009.
- Have clear communication, both written and oral.
- Be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
